Compound C reacted with excess sulphuric acid at 170∘C to produce major Compound G. Compound C undergo esterification process with ethanoic acid to form Compound H. Compound F was formed when Compound C reacted with sodium while Compound J was formed when Compound C reacted with thionyl chloride. Compound C undergo oxidation to produce Compound I.
