The maximum volumetric thermal source strength in the core is 4 x 107 Btu/hr ft³. The heat-transfer coefficient between coolant and cladding is 6000 Btu/hr ft² °F. The coolant mass rate of flow per fuel rod is a constant 3,370 lbm/hr. Find the maximum temperature of the coolant entering the core if boiling is to be avoided. Neglect the extrapolation lengths.
