Q1. The per-unit d-axis and q-axis reactance's of a salient-pole generator are 0.9 and 0.6 respectively. The armature resistance is negligible. Determine; when the generator delivers rated load at rated voltage and 0.866 lagging power factors: I- The percentage voltage regulation. II- The power developed by the generator. III- The expected maximum power developed by the generator. IV- Draw the phasor diagram.
