With the information given in the Figure and appropriate assumptions, determine: (i) the location of neutral plane measured vertically from G/F; (ii) the air flow rates at openings a, b1 and b6. Assume the air density is 1.2 kg m-3, wind speed = Oms-1, flow coefficient of openings C=0.65. Determine (i) the wind pressure at the six openings (from b1 to b6) in Figure Q4-1, (ii) the effective flow area in the flow path b to a, (iii) the flow rate of the building due to the wind. 31 m (10 marks) |
