an infinite quantum well. Consider three different objects: (1) A physics teacher (m=80kg)

in a small room with width 2m, (2) an electron in a linear molecule with length 1nm; (3) a

proton in an atomic nucleus of size 10fm (a) Calculate the minimum energy for each of

these cases. (b) Use Heisenberg uncertainty to estimate the uncertainty of kinetic energy

and apply this to each of the three objects. Compare the energies to the results of part

(a).
