There are five basic questions that public health officials
ask that together make up what is referred to as an evidence-based
public health approach. These five steps include
Problem, Etiology, Recommendations, Implementation, and Evaluation
(referred to as the P.E.R.I.E. process) have paved the way for
public health issues to be effectively addressed.
