what is your opinion about this post
I am interested in learning more about how to intervene in order
to assist older adults to achieve their personal goals, based on
community resources and their environment. I believe that the
personal needs and goals of all patients are so very important
especially when it comes to providing effective care and better
outcomes (Beswick et al., 2008). It is vital that we work towards
helping older patients to maintain their independence and there are
many interventions that we as future nurses will be able to
implement to give the best care possible (Beswick et al., 2008).
Working with older adults on how to achieve their self-care needs
goes alongside helping them to maintain independence and promotes
better health and wellness (Goes et al., 2020). I think that
tailoring how we assist older individuals in their needs to their
environment, preferences, and resources will lead to successful
outcomes and more individualized care (Goes et al., 2020).
