Problem 3: Light is incident from air onto a glass prism at a 45° angle to one face, as shown in the figure above on the right. This light ray strikes the face at the opposite side at 03, the critical angle for total internal reflection. The prism apex angle (at the top) is o = 75°. What is np, the index of refraction of the prism? Answer: np = 1.41.
