Moshman's article provides an overview of what makes most information about “adolescent brains” inaccurate. Contrary to popular belief, there is no reliable evidence that adolescent brains are more prone to illogical behavior than adult brains. Instead, people's social circumstances have the most influence over both adults' and adolescents' behavior.
Your assignment: What are some negative stereotypes you've heard about teenagers? What would Moshman say about these stereotypes? (Be specific. We know Moshman would disagree with negative stereotypes—spend most of your response going in depth on how he would explain that these are wrong.) What would Mueller suggest to improve the well being of young people? Answer in approximately 300 words, paraphrasing and citing from both readings.
