According to an economist/YouGov poll in October of 2021, 41% of
Americans are in favor of year-round daylight savings time. There
were 1500 randomly chosen Americans that participated in the
poll.
a) Estimate with 95% confidence, the proportion of all Americans
who are in favor of a year-round daylight savings time. Make sure
to check all conditions and describe your confidence interval in
the context of the problem, State the standard error and the margin
of error.
b) Do you expect a 99% confidence interval to have a larger or
smaller margin of error? Explain.
