In order to study the relationship between fire damage (y, measured in thousands of dollars), the distance to the nearest fire station (x, measured in kilometres), and the Urban-Rural Classification of the house (URC, classified as “Urban' (U), “Semi-urban' (S), or “Rural'( R)), data from n 15 minor fires were analysed.
