An incident oblique shock wave strikes a solid wall exactly in the corner of an expansion corner at an angle-of-incidenc

Post by answerhappygod »

An incident oblique shock wave strikes a solid wall exactly in
the corner of an expansion corner at an angle-of-incidence to the
wall of CX[ = 30° as seen in the attached Figure Two. As the flow
passes through the incident shock from Region One to Region Two,
the flow is turned (deflected) through an angle i(f>2 =
15.7844789degrees. The Mach number in Region Three is equal to that
in Region One (Mi = M3). Determine:
i. Mi M2 M3 Mach number in Regions One, Two, and Three
g. flow turning, i.e. flow deflection angle as the flow
turns away from itself in the expansion from Region Two to Region
Three
h. The wall angle ß defined in Figure Two.
