A three-phase synchronous machine has the specifications presented in table below Parameter Value Voltage 208 V Frequency 60 Hz Power 5 kVA Number of Poles 4 Type of connection Y Armature resistance (RA) 012 Synchronous inductance (X) 812 When the machine is operated as a motor and is supplied with the nominal voltage and frequency specified in Table, the excitation current is set such that the machine receives 3 kVA at power factor of 1 a) Find the internal voltage (E) and the power angle (8), and draw the phasor diagram of this motor b) If the excitation current remains constant, what is the maximum power that can be delivered by this motor? When the machine is operating as a Generator, c) What is the angular speed of this generator in rad/sec? d) The excitation current is set such that the terminal voltage of the generator is 208 volts in no-load. What is the terminal voltage if the generator provides the rated current at the power factor of 0.9 lagging
