PROBLEM #1 a. Using a waste factor of 8 percent, determine the number of cubic yards of concrete needed to pour the continuous footing shown in figure 1 and 2 below. Assume that the wall is centered over the footing. b. Determine the amount of rebar needed for the continuous footings shown in figure 1 and 2 below. Allow for 2 inches of cover and extend the dowels 15 inches into the wall. Add 10 % for lap and waste to the continuous bars.
