Facilities Planning (0405432) Teamwork Assignment 2 Due: April 204, 2022 An industrial engineer has generated four alternative layouts for a sanitary ware factory. A copy of each of these layouts is given in Appendix I. It was decided to evaluate these alternatives in terms of three criteria: material handling cost, flexibility (in terms of available area of expansion and ability to use a variety material handling equipment), and safety. Accordingly, the pairwise matrices given in Appendix II were generated by a team of experts using the scale given below. Use these matrices to prepare a report showing the major steps for selecting the best layout alternative using Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) which is implemented in Expert Choice. The report should contain a brief introduction to AHP.
