The following information was obtained, during the month of March, from instruments located in close proximity to a small lake of 7 km² area. The daily average temperature of the evaporating lake surface was 25.7 °C. The following conditions were measured 2m above the water surface: Net radiation Rn = 300 W/m2 Daily average air temperature = 27.9 °C Daily average relative humidity = 0.8 Daily average wind speed = 7.2 m/s a) 7 minutes Estimate the evaporation from the lake using the aerodynamic approach over the entire month, considering that the water vapour transfer coefficient KE was estimated as 1.6 x 10-4 cm/km/mb (note that KE="/pw). b) 3 minutes What was the vapour pressure deficit (2m above the water surface) for that day? c) 5 minutes If the average daily pan evaporation for that month was 3.93mm/day, estimate the pan evaporation coefficient.
