4. (a). Name field tests to find the dynamic properties of soil and discuss the block vibration test (4) (b). A clayey soil specimen was tested in a resonant column device for torsional vibration, free-free end condition for determination of shear modulus. Specimen length 90 mm, diameter 35.6 mm and mass 170 gm and a frequency at first mode of vibration of 790 Hz. Determine the shear modulus. (6)
