6) The Piano Tuner (9points) You are a piano tuner and you arrive to tune an old, out-of-tune piano. You begin with the "A" string. In perfect tune this string should have a frequency of 220 Hz. You take out your 220 Hz tuning fork and cause the string and the tuning fork to vibrate at the same time. You hear 4 beats per second. 6a. What are the 2 frequencies at which the string could be vibrating? 6b. When instruments go out of tune, they tend to go flat. This means the notes they make are lower pitched than they would be if they were in tune. Assuming this piano is flat, which of the two possible frequencies was the string producing?
