1) The Doppler Effect (9points) 1a. A car with its horn stuck "on" is driving toward you. Relative to the driver of the car, is the pitch you hear from the horn lower or higher? [lower] [higher] 1b. If the same car is driving away from you, is the sound you hear now relatively low pitched or high pitched? [lower] [higher] 1c. In both cases, when the car is driving toward you and when the car is driving away from you, this perceived difference in pitch is due to the same reason. What is this reason? Choose one [ change in wave speed] [change in wave frequency] 1d. The doppler effect is observed in [light waves only] [sound waves only] [both light ad sound waves]
