Question 15
During X-ray production, electrons emitted from a hot filament
(thermionic emission) are accelerated by an electrical potential
difference of 90 kV. Assuming that emitted
electrons are initially at rest, what is the kinetic energy of one
electron right before it hits a target? Answer the value that goes
into the blank. Be careful with units.
