A farsighted eye can read a book as close as 42cm with a
prescription of +0.95D.
a) what's the new prescription if I wanted to read a book at a
distance of 25cm?
b) what magnitude of radius curvature is needed for a new
prescription if the base curve of the contact lens is 7.8 mm? The
index of refraction of the contact lens is 1.44.
NOTE: the base curve of a contact lens is the curvature of the
back surface of the lens (closest to the eye)
