Two very long, concentric conducting cylinders of length L liealong the x-axis. The inner cylinder has radiusr1 and the outer cylinder has radius r2.The two cylinders are initially uncharged but then a charge of -Qis moved from the inner cylinder to the outer cylinder. You mayassume that the resulting E-field (if it exists at all) is directedradially outward. (a) Using Gauss’s law, determine themagnitude of the electric field (i) within the inner conductor,(ii) between the two conductors and (iii) outside the twoconductors. (b) Using your result from part a-ii, calculate thepotential difference between the two plates. (c) Using your resultfrom part b, determine the capacitance of the two conductors. (d)Determine the energy density in the electric field.
