An atom diameter 10 Angstroms (10^-10m) is in the ground stateand then absorbs a photon, exciting the atom to its first excitedstate. Approximating the system as being a single electron in a 1-dbox of length given by the diameter of the atom what is thefrequency of the photon?
The correct answer is 2.73 x10^16 Hz I am having trouble gettingthere. Thanks!
