Question A-Calculating the Chi-Square (12 points total) Using the mice example from question 1, enter the number of observed individuals into the table below (1 pt. each, 3 pts. total). Note the Expected Results have been provided for you. Now, using a calculator, the Chi-Square formula, and the methodology learned in lecture, calculate each Chi-Square value and enter it into the correct Ypace (2 pts. each, 6 pts. Total). Sum all the Chi square values {1pt ). Then answer the thought question below (a simple yes or no with a sentence or two will sufficel). Based on the results above compared to the critical value of 3.841, is this population of mice in HardyWeinberg equilibrium? Why or why not? (2 pts)
Question 3- Comverting Hardy-Weinberg Results to Expected Results (3 pts) You have a population with following phenotypes: WW=256 Frequency W=0.61 Ww=215 Frequency w=0.39 W05=135 The Hardy Weinberg Results were - p2=0.3721 - 2pq=0.4752 - q2=0.1521 Using a calculator and following the methodology used in class, convert the Hardy-Weinberg results to Expected Results Question 4- Calculating the Chi-Square (12 points total) Using the mice example from question 1, enter the number of observed individuals into the table below (1 pt, each, 3 pts. total). Note the Expected Results have been provided for you. Now, using a calculator, the Chi-Square formula, and the methodology learned in lecture, calculate each Chi-Square value and enter it into the correct space (2 pts. each, 6 pts. Total). Sum all the Chi square values (1 pt). Then answer the thought question below (a simple yes or no with a sentence or two will sufficel). Based on the results above compared to the critical value of 3.841, is this population of mice in HardyWeinberg equilibrium? Why or why not? (2 pts)
