. Two cars, both of mass m = 1500 kg, crash into each other inthe middle of an intersection. Car A entered the intersection fromthe south (traveling straight north) while car B entered theintersection from the west (traveling straight east). Following thecollision the two cars stick together and crash into a tree that isin a direction 30 degrees north of east from the point of the crashin the middle of the intersection. The police reconstructs thespeed of sliding of the two cars after the crash to be 10 m/s.
Calculate the initial speeds vA and vB with which cars A and Bentered the intersection respectively.
b) What fraction (or percentage) of the original kinetic energyhas been lost in the collision between the two cars?
