You push a toy car (or something with very litte friction with the foor) with a steady force over some distance across a frictionless, horizontal surface for a distance d1. Assume there is no friction between the car and the floor at this time and also assume you are pushing the car with a constant. force. After that distance, d1, you release the car and is travels some distance d2 across that frictionless, horizontal surface. After that distance, d2. the car colides with a cup. After the collision, the car and cup slide together a short distance horizontally across the floor before coming to rest. There is friction between the horizontal surface and the our. Solve for everything you cant.
