Q. 4 The dataset BPgenetics.csv contains data on a study looking at the how biological sex and genotype at a specific location in the human genome affect systolic blood pressure. There are two levels of biological sex considered (M and F) and three levels of the genotype (AA, Aa and aa). a) Construct a plot to see if there is any evidence that the effect of the genotype on systolic blood pressure differs for the two biological sexes. What do you conclude from this plot? Conduct a formal test and give the conclusions of your test. [5] b) Fit an appropriate model to examine if these two factors (Sex and Genotype) have an affect on systolic blood pressure. What are your conclusions? [5] c) It is known that age can affect blood pressure. Repeat your analysis adjusting for the differing ages of the subjects. Do any of your conclusions change? [5] d) Check the assumptions you made to complete the analysis in part (c). [5]
