Problem #2: On the surface of an engineering component, the stresses at a given point are as presented below (based on some convenient coordinate system). Part A: Using the transformation equations, determine the transformed state of stress at a rotated angle of: - 60 degrees clockwise - 60 degrees counterclockwise Part B: Determine the principal normal stresses (and the corresponding coordinate axis rotation) and the principal shear stress (and the corresponding coordinate axis rotation). Complete this task using both the transformation equations and Mohr's circle. - To receive full credit, be sure to draw and label all pertinent points and dimensions on Mohr's circle (i.e., those points we identified in class).
