During the peak hour on a Class I two-lane highway in rollingterrain, volume northbound (peak direction) are 1300 veh/h andvolume southbound are 500 veh/h. The PHF is 0.90, and there are 15%trucks/buses of which 14% are semi-trailers and 5% RVs. Lane widthsare 11 ft, and shoulder widths are 4 ft. The roadway section is 5mi in length, and there are 18 access points per mile. There are50% no-passing zones and the free-flow speed is 65 mi/h. Determinethe PTSF and ATS if the grade in the peak direction is 4.75%upgrade and if it is 4.75% down grade. The difference betweenfree-flow speed and crawl speed is 25 mi/h
