Figure 1 and 2 are two different configurations of the same slingshot. The slingshot consists of two linear springs and a mass (a). Find the speed of (a) ,which weighs 1 kg, after it has been released from rest and travels to figure 2 , if the springs have a free length of 1 m and are stretched to a length of 2 m in figure 1 . Ignore gravity. Also note that k=100 N/m in each spring.
