I. Direction: (a) Identify the devices used in the development of the equivalent electro-pneumatic circuit (b) Design the equivalent electro-pneumatic circuit based on the given specifications Problem 1: Stack Magazine Module A stack magazine module is controlled by a double solenoid valve that separates workpieces from a magazine. A double-acting cylinder(1A) pushes the lowest workpiece out from the gravity feed magazine if a workpiece is available detected by a through-bean sensor and a pushbutton is pressed. The cylinder will go back to its initial position once the capacitive sensor sensed that a workpiece is out. The advancing and retracting speed is adjustable.
Problem 2: Time Delay Valve A double acting cylinder is used to press glued components together. Upon operation of a push button, the clamping cylinder extends. Once the fully advanced position is reached, the cylinder is to remain for a time of T=6 seconds and then retract to the initial position automatically. The cylinder retraction is to be adjustable. A new start cycle is only possible after the cylinder has fully retracted.
