The solid pin is made of a material with shear modulus of G=10GPa, with a failure shear stress of τfail =100MPa. Determine the minimum required diameter (d) of the pin to the nearest mm. Apply a factor of safety F.S. =2.5 against shear failure. What is the average shear strain of the pin at cross sections A and B ?
