A reheat cycle with two stages of reheating is executed withsteam expanding initially from 205 bar and 550 deg C. The2 reheater pressures are 40 bar (4 Mpaa) and 10 bar (1 Mpaa) andthe steam leaves each reheater at 540 deg C. Condensation occurs at60 deg C. Sketch the TS diagram. For the ideal cycle, and 1 kg persecond of steam, find a) Qa and e. b) For the engine, ignore thepressure drop through the reheater, let the engine operate throughthe same states and compute W and e.
For the problem above, calculate the actual cycle efficiency ec’using Works, and then using Qs, if compression and expansionefficiencies are both 90 %
