Problim: 1) A 500v, 45KW,600RPM die shunt motor having the full load efficiency of 90% the field resistance is 200Ω and the armatare resistance is 0.2Ω. The field curent is maintained constant. Aramtine reaction and brush drop may be negleted. Calcubte the rated armature current and find the speed under each of the following condition at which the m/c develops a electromagnetic torqu equal the rated value. i) Regenerative braking with no external resistance. ii) Plugging with external resistance of 5.5Ω.
