Business Analysis Case Study Scenario ABC Bank, a large retailbanking client employing 20,000 staff country wide, has requestedus to provide them with an account onboarding process to enableonboarding of customers to a savings card. The solution we providewill be for the bank back-office users to manage; the source of theonboarding request could come through multiple channels (mobile,web, branch walk-in) and pushed into our system via an APIintegration.
The onboarding process is a critical process for the bank, thecurrent issues are:
1. All account onboarding requests are currently printed topaper and captured into the host banking systems
2. All applications need to be physically signed by the branchmanager and Head of Department before an account is opened
3. People are not always available to sign which can lead tolong lead times before an account is opened
4. There is no SLA reporting for onboarding turnaroundperformance
5. Identity verification is done manually through a third-partywebsite
6. Tracing a specific onboarding application is tedious andrequires a lot of personal conversation to find where theapplication is The onboarding project must include workflow forapproval routing, digitisation of the application form, scanningand indexing of key fields, integration from the upstream channelsand reporting on application statuses.
