Test: Ch. 8,9 8. The two shapes below are fixed to each side of a rigid, weightless bar (sitting on top of the bar but cannot slide). The bar sits on top of a single roller and the ends of the bar are free. The shape to the left has an area density of 88 kg/m² and the shape to the right has an area density of 54 kg/m2. All dimensions shown below are in meters. The hole in the right shape has a diameter of 6 meters. Determine which side will begin moving downward. Assume the roller is sitting on level ground on Earth in a constant gravitational field and the materials are homogeneous. Answer must show all work! SORO ATRO
