Please help me answer part b. Will rate.
The following assembly section is provided with critical nominal dimensions shown (not to scale) [mm]: 200 20 208 Detail drawing of bearing and retainer ring: -1.75 23 All the parts for this assembly are being purchased except of the outer case which you are designing. You asked for statistical manufacturing data from potential suppliers: Width of shaft from groove to collar AH = 208.00+0.06 Bearing_{CE and FH; 2 required) = 23.00 +0.00 -0.12 ; is C = 1.5 Bearing sleeve (DE and FG; 2 required) = 20.00 -0.02 ; is G=1.5 Retainer ring (AB) = 1.750.00 -0.01 31 = -0.05; ist a) You decide to manufacture the outer case with overall dimension 200.00 = 0.10. Your process capability is C =1. Assuming all variables are normally distributed determine: 1) The percentage of assemblies that will have GAP BC between 30 mm and.55 mm? ii) The percentage of assemblies that will have GAP BC between 35 mm and 50 mm2 b) You become more confident in your in-house manufacturing process and decide to increase the C Index to 1.25 for your statistical analysis. i) Your answer to a) i) will increase OR decrease ii) Your answer to a) ii) will increase or decrease
