A 30-mile, 3-phase, 3 wire transmission line has an impedance of
9 + j12 ohms per wire supplies a balance 3-phase load of
5,000 kVA at 34.5 kVolt line-to-line, 60 Hz, 0.866 lagging p.f. If
a 1,500 kVAR lossless capacitor bank is connected across the load,
determine the voltage dip maintaining 34.5 kVolt at the receiving
end of the line.
