5.33. A horizontal reducer bend is used to connect a 20-cm- diameter pipe to 10-cm-diameter pipe, as shown in Figure P5.33. The flow, which has a velocity of 1.2 m/s in the first pipe, is deflected by an angle of 120°. The pressure at the bend entrance is 4905 N/m². Calculate the magnitude and direction of the force required to hold the bend in position.
