(plf stands for pound per linear foot; kis kips) 650 plf (L2) 5.4k 12 ft (L1) 10.2 k 12 ft (LO 25 ft - 25 it 25 ft (A2) (B2) (D2) (a) Analyze the said frame using approximate methods (for lateral loads, use either portal method if C is even, or cantilever method if C is odd). Determine the support reactions as well as draw the shear and bending moment diagrams of the members. (b) Analyze the said structure using STAAD.Pro. Compare the support reactions & V&BM diagrams with those from approximate methods.
