The following figure represents a sheet metal folding andstamping system composed of four electro-pneumatic cylinders. Eachof the cylinders contains a solenoid valve, to give forward orbackward order, two magnetic sensors, which indicate whether thecylinder is forward or backward. The system has a button A toindicate whether it is to pierce the plate. The system starts theprocess whenever the operator places the part and then presses thestart button. The desired sequence is shown in the movement diagram(0 - represents a recessed cylinder; 1- represents an advancedcylinder).
