Early childhood care and education contributes to children's lifelong development. You have an interest in early childhood education and you would like to set up a preschool to promote values and standards that you deem important but are missing in the current preschools in your community. Develop a preschool curriculum for a hypothetical preschool that would help you promote your values and standards. In your curriculum document include brief descriptions of the following points and reasons for each decision/selection/choice: 1. The schools Philosophy statement 2. Theory/ies underpinning the philosophy and concept 3. Goals of the preschool 4. Explain the schools Inclusive philosophy 5. Describe the facility 6. Description of preschool a. Opening hours and why b. Academic or play-based program c. Target ages of children d. Number of classes and number of children in each/number of attendants/teachers/teacher: child ratio 7. Design the daily schedule for the school and give reasons why 8. Prepare a lesson plan for one (1) activity in the schedule 9. Describe how the daily activities, schedule will help achieve the goals and standards set for the school described in (3) above 10. Indicate how daily activity plan will contribute to holistic development of the children.
