Vmax is a measure of the reaction velocity of an enzyme, i.e,how many substrate molecules are acted upon per unit time (usuallymeasured in seconds). If you had a chemical that increased the Vmaxof the G proteins’ ATP hydrolase activity for a second messengersystem, how would that affect the signal strength of the primarymessage (original hormone or neurotransmitter)?
