1.In an Ideal Regenerative cycle, steam is received in the engine at pressure of 5.0Mpaa and 520°C temperature. Extraction for feed water heating is at 0.78Mpa, and exhaust at the condenser at 0.008 Mpa. Determine a) the quantity of extracted steam, b) the heat supplied in the system and heat rejected, c) the cycle thermal efficiency. 2.In an Ideal Reheat cycle, the steam throttle condition is 12.8Mpa and 530°C, the reheat pressure is 2.6 Mpaa, the reheat temperature is equal to the throttle temperature of the steam, and the condenser exhaust is at 3.5Kpaa. Calculate the cycle thermal efficiency.
