1. You are designing a bellow to be used with home fireplaces. Trying to differentiate yourself from the competition you decide to go bigger! The bellow is depicted Figure 1 and has two rectangular pieces of wood which rotate around a hing. If the average person closes the bellows such that decreases at a rate of 0 = -0.75rad/s) and each plate has a length of 30 cm and a width of 15 cm, determine the following: (a) What is the volume flow rate exiting the nozzle? (b) If the nozzle exit has a diameter of 0.5 cm, what is the exit velocity of fluid leaving the bellows? (c) Is the velocity reasonable? What changes would you make to the design to make the velocity realistic (won't blow out the fire!)? Give the new exit velocity.
