Directions: For DB #7, we
will consider a (fairly) recent dispute in freedom of speech
dispute over 'provocative' MTA subway and bus advertisements.
Students are asked to please read the brief articles enclosed (a
broad media survey) and answer the following questions below.
Please note: Students do have to respond to other students in
this thread, but do not have to cite any evidence (unless you feel
so inclined). Furthermore: Consider this DB a space to consider the
consequences or implications of particular types of speech, and as
such, please maintain a respectful and tolerant tone when
interacting with students on the DB thread .
