The pneumatic unit (Fig. 1) consists of: . ● Lab Assignment # 8: DIRECTIONAL CONTROL VALVES ● 3 double acting cylinders (A, B and C); 1 single solenoid 2 position spring return valve; 1 double solenoid 2 position valve; 1 double solenoid 3 position valve. Each cylinder is equipped with an extended and retracted sensors which determine the fully extended or fully retracted position of the cylinder rod. The "retracted" the home position of all cylinders. 3. Write a PLC program to control a 2 position double solenoid valve to operate the Extend - Retract action of any cylinder. Use 1 1 N.O. Start pushbutton and 1 N.C. Stop pushbutton to control the extend action, and 1 maintained button to control the retract action. The extend action must be programmed so that it becomes available when the cylinder's rod meets the fully retracted position, while the retract action must be programmed to be able to function when the rod is at fully extended position. Turn on the Green light at the extended position of the cylinder's rod. The Red light must be ON at the retracted position of the rod. Sketch the PLC I/O wiring diagram in the space below.
