Final ePortfolio
Your Final ePortfolio (worth 20% of your grade) offers anopportunity to present samples of work you've produced over thesemester,
representing your development as a writer, reader, andresearcher. By revising, editing, and proofreading select piecesyou can strengthen your skills and showcase how your writing hasevolved from the start of this course. This is also anopportunity for you to integrate images into your chosen text thatwill add meaning & depth to your work. Think of our graphicnovel, The Best We Could Do, and howeffectively the visual imagery evoked our emotions.
Somewhere on the website you will include a picture of yourselfand a Brief Bio. Feel free to describe yourfamily and culture and offer some of your hopes and dreams for thefuture.
In addition to a Brief Bio, and 3 select samples of yourwork, you will include a 500+ word ReflectiveEssay on your writing and revision process. TheReflective Essay should include commentary on why you choose theselect sample to include in your portfolio and may also containcommentary on selecting essay topics, conducting research (findinga scholarly article), presenting your work to an audience, gettingfeedback from your peers and professor, or other relevant issuesyou encountered as a developing writer/scholar. Inaddition, you are requiredto discuss the changes any you made to yourwriting samples (or essay drafts), employing terms of composition.For example, you may reference any of these concepts: revising,editing, proofreading, thesis development, narrative/essaystructure, exposition, climax, resolution, hook/opening line,thesis, imagery, descriptive language, figurative language,character development, dialogue, MLA formatting, in-text citations,rhetorical strategies, etc. Anything that we covered in this courseis appropriate for you to reflect on. However,please employ these critical terms in referenceto your writing.

First, you will need to sign-up and create a domain name withWeebly.com. Choose a free subdomain namefor your site. Be sure to use the "free subdomain" option. Below isan instructional video on how to get started with Weebly. If youprefer to use another free site (e.g., Wix.com) that is alsoallowed. However, please ensure that I will be able to access theURL that you submit to me on the due date.
