1. a) A Sheep breeder wanted to remove the horns from the sheepwithin his flock. He crossed polled rams with horned ewes. To hisdisappointment all the F1 progeny had horns. He then inter-crossedthe progeny to produce an F2 of 80 horned sheep and 20 polledsheep. Propose a hypothesis to explain these results. Draw adiagram of the crosses, and compare the observed results with yourpredicted results. (Hint use the allele symbols H and h.)
b) Given you answer in 1a, if there was an intermediatephenotype for the heterozygotes (Hh), Would this change yourassumptions and what could be the underlying causes of thisintermediate phenotype?
