Draw two separate flow charts (one for lower temperatures and another for
increased temperatures). Show the homeostatic responses that occur for each
(including both physiological and behavioral responses) and then what happens
for each when the homeostatic mechanisms are no longer functioning. Terms
included should be: control center, thermoreceptors, moderate and profound
hypothermia, heat exhaustion
and heat stroke, shivering, sweating, decreased
surface area exposed, increased surface area exposed.
